About Me

My photo
Whether it's five miles or five hundred miles, riding a bicycle is more fun than anyone ever told me! My New Year's Resolution to cycle 10 miles a day or 40 minutes on a spin bike has meant that by the end of May I have cycled 2,600 miles! Because of my cycling wardrobe the weather has not stopped me from cycling (unless it really is -5 degrees or with wind gusts of 25 mph). Cycling in style and in comfort is really important to me as I don't really want to be covered in logos looking like a Ninja as I buy groceries or attend meetings. I have found some things that work for me but am always looking for new pieces. For me, Evans Cycles and Cycle Surgery for the basics. My two favourite brands for my wardrobe are www.velorution.com and www.velovixen.com but I am always looking for new pieces. I would love to know what works for you and why. Happy cycling!

Mice Log Snowstorms and Snowdrops in Sunshine 89

Mice Log Snowstorms and Snowdrops in Sunshine 89. 13 miles in 1hr 8 mins, ave speed 12 mph max speed 19mph on the Marin.
Hyde Park is closed to traffic - Huzzah!  Perhaps not - pedestrians are all over the shop, the barrage of Boris Bikes are now three abreast and absolutely nobody is looking behind them!  This doesn't bode well for summer (whatever summer is!)
I did think the Serpentine and the Skyline looked particularly pretty and the air wasnt nearly as cold as I thought it was going to be.
It was also the day for chores so perfect for trying out my new Lidl shopping basket.  10/10.  Loved it.

From the photo it does look as though it is bigger than the bike! It isnt. And it's not nearly as large as the bag a friend of mine has  on her bike in The Hague.

There was no problem with the steering.  The bag pops on and off without any problems and is neat and tidy to use as a bag. It can carry quite a lot of items, has an expandable top and a pocket at the front.  It seems to be well made and the fabric is strong.  £9.99 very well spent.  Thank you Lidl!
